Cousy

Cousy introduction          Click this link for full article:  COUSY – Final

There is not much as an introduction to the Cousy that can be offered other than perhaps to say, go straight to the main article by the above link!

These days it is very difficult to find anything about the cars of Georges Cousy other than his original 500cc F3 cars, the equivalent of the little Coopers, Kieft and the like. A 700 cc version of the closed streamline sports model was entered in the 1955 Mille Miglia but it DNS (did not turn up as far as I can tell). Presumably this was BMW 700 powered.

There were also entries in 1955-56 at the Montlhéry Paris circuit including a 500cc streamliner that was Ratier powered I believe, like the later No. II single-seater. Though advertised in 1955 as sports models available with 500cc Ratier, 700cc BMW and unspecified capacity Dyna Panhard motors, it is unknown how many were build, or sold for that matter.
